Prototipi is an SME based in Lagos specialized in knowledge and technology transfer between Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
We enable local organisations (such as entrepreneurs, emerging start-ups, established indigenous industries, NGOs and public organisations) to exploit and adapt innovative technologies, such as augmented and virtual reality, making them available to the market as products and services for commercial gain and social impact. We promote innovation in Africa, partnering with local Digital Innovation Hubs and educational institutions to communicate and promote digital entrepreneurship, local innovation and educational programs. We are a partner in H2020 projects fostering collaboration between the EU and Africa.

MEET OUR MANAGING DIRECTOR
ADRIANO MAURO
Adriano has more than 25 years of experience in industrial research and development teams in Europe and Nigeria.
He worked on the development of prototypes, pilot and plant tests for leading industry players in several verticals: Solari, recognized leader in designing and manufacturing Display Information Systems, Queue Management and Data Collection Systems, Alifax, Italian company specialized in the development of clinical diagnostic instrumentation for laboratory automation, and Calligaris.
As managing director of Prototipi he is in charge of the strategic development aiming at becoming the leading organisationfocused on the technology transfer and digitization of SMEs in West Africa.
He has a deep understanding of the industrial and SMEs technology needs in the region and pivots the introduction of remote maintenance and immersive learning technologies, supporting organisations in the deployment of AR/VR solutions.
Since 2008, Adriano is the General Manager Operations of IO Furniture, in Lagos (Nigeria), where he set up the production plant, led the digitization of the company’s processes and the logistic network integration. He’s member of the EU-Nigeria Chamber of Commerce.

CHAIRWOMAN
Muni Shonibare
Muni graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from Ahmadu Bello University, then received a post-graduate diploma in Interior Design from the Instituto del Arte il restauro in Florence, Italy where she spent two years studying and shaping links with the Italian design industry.
She is the founding President of the Interior Designer’s Association of Nigeria which is affiliated with the International Federation of Interior Designers and Architects.
Munira Shonibare is a professional with over 30 years of experience. She has managed large projects successfully and has won numerous awards for her outstanding leadership skills over her working career.
